League of Women Voters 'November Special Event'

League of Women Voters Meeting – November 14, 2006

The League met today at the Amber Bar of the Landmark Mandarin Hotel. Susan Wallace, President, introduced our speaker Executive Chef Richard Ekkebus, who presented a morning on “Well Being Cuisine”. The morning consisted of a both an informative talk on nutrition and a sampling of Chef Ekkebus’ personal recipes, followed by a tour of the Spa.

Susan thanked Fiona Ekkebus for all her efforts in making this morning possible. Susan also presented a ‘thank you’ gift to Chef Ekkebus. Photos from the November special event can be found here (click on Landmark Mandarin Oriental Nov. 2006 ).

Janet Mager announced our December meeting. This will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 12th. We will be meeting at the Crystal Lotus Restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel. Members attending should meet at 10:15am at the Airport Express Station. A seven course lunch will be served at a cost of $200 per person, inclusive of tip.
